How Does Breast Augmentation Fat Transfer Work?

Many people think breast augmentation is synonymous with breast implants, but the truth is, there’s another option for increasing the size and volume of your breasts. A fat transfer breast augmentation is a safe, natural alternative to implants—it can help you achieve your aesthetic goals without introducing foreign objects into your body.

What is a fat transfer breast augmentation?

A fat transfer breast augmentation redistributes your body fat by removing it from unwanted areas and injecting it into your breasts. Fat can be taken from your abdomen, back, buttocks, or thighs, resulting in subtle, shapely whole-body contouring. It’s ideal for women who aren’t looking for a huge increase in cup size, but rather natural reshaping and a volume boost.

What are the benefits of breast augmentation fat transfer over breast implants?

Fat transfer and implants are two different procedures with two different objectives. For a significant increase in the size of your breasts, you’ll likely want to choose implants. But if you’re looking to improve the shape of your breasts with a small increase in size, fat transfer might be for you.

Some other benefits of opting for fat transfer breast augmentation are:

  • Low risk. Because fat transfer doesn’t require the introduction of a foreign body into your system, you’re less susceptible to infections. You also don’t have to worry about an implant rupturing or needing replacement.

  • Minimally invasive. The procedure uses very small incisions, which helps to minimize scarring and decreases the risk of infection. Fat transfer also involves a shorter recovery period than implants, meaning less downtime and disruption to your daily routine.

  • Natural-looking results. Since fat transfer uses your own body tissue to create fuller breasts, the results tend to appear natural and authentic.

What happens during a breast augmentation fat transfer procedure?

First, the fat is harvested from target areas using liposuction. Small incisions are made to insert a thin tube called a cannula, which uses gentle suction to remove the fat cells from beneath your skin. The fat cells are then cleansed and prepared before being transplanted into your breasts. In general, a fat transfer doesn’t require general anesthesia, and can be performed on an outpatient basis, so you should be ready to return home the same day.

When can I expect to see results?

Depending on the extent of your fat transfer, you’ll most likely be required to wear compression garments for the first few weeks to provide support and to help your skin conform to your new contours. During this period, you may also experience some pain, bruising, and swelling, which are all normal and should fade with time. While you’ll see immediate changes to your curves, over time some of the fat cells may be reabsorbed by your body. You can expect your body to settle to its final shape within approximately 6 months.

Are you a good candidate for breast augmentation fat transfer?

Only your doctor can tell you whether you’re a good candidate for breast augmentation fat transfer. Why We Love SculpSure (And You Should, Too!)

If you’re carrying extra weight around your middle, you know how frustrating it can be to find clothes that fit right. Your pants are too tight, your love handles spill over your waistband, and you don’t even want to see yourself in a bathing suit. The worst part is that you do everything right – you diet, you exercise – but nothing will get rid of that stubborn abdominal fat.

Are you ready for some good news? Here it is: You’re not doomed to hide behind billowy caftans and uncomfortable shapewear for the rest of your life. Now, you can get the sculpted waistline you’ve always desired with SculpSure. At San Diego Body Contouring, we love everything about this revolutionary fat-reducing treatment. And here are just a few reasons why.

It’s non-invasive.

SculpSure is a body contouring system designed to reduce fat in those problem areas around your midsection – but without the expense and inconvenience of invasive surgery. SculpSure works by sending targeted laser energy beneath the surface of your skin to permanently destroy your fat cells. There are no incisions, no tissue damage, and no bruising. The only evidence this treatment leaves behind is a trim figure.

It’s painless.

Unlike some other fat-reduction procedures on the market, SculpSure is virtually painless. Most patients report feeling alternate warming and cooling sensations as the laser cycles on and off, as well as a mild tingling feeling deep beneath their skin. After the treatment is complete, the affected area may feel tender, but SculpSure is unlikely to cause the redness and swelling typical of other body contouring solutions.

It’s fast.

Each treatment session lasts for a mere 25 minutes – and since there’s no downtime or recovery period, you can get it done on your lunch hour and step back into your daily routine right away. As for results, you may begin to see a noticeable difference in your midsection as early as six weeks after your treatment, with optimal results visible within twelve weeks. Most patients only require one session to achieve their desired outcome, but we will design a customized treatment plan to meet your individual needs and goals.

It’s effective.

On average, people experience a 24% reduction in fat volume after completing their SculpSure treatments. And because SculpSure destroys your fat cells permanently, they’ll never regenerate – meaning long-lasting fat loss in the place where you need it the most.

It gives you the boost you need.

We know how hard it can be to lose those last few pockets of fat, especially around your midsection. SculpSure was designed specifically to spot-treat those problem areas, so you no longer have to hide. Without a muffin top or a bulging belly, you can wear your clothes with confidence, and feel good about the way you look.

How To Reduce Abdominal Fat With SculpSure

Muffin top. Spare tire. Love handles.

Whatever you call that extra weight you’re carrying around your midsection, you probably feel like it’s the bane of your existence. No matter how much you diet, no matter how many planks or crunches you do, it doesn’t go away. And if you’re not interested in the hassle and expense of invasive surgical procedures, you might be worried that you’re stuck with flabby abs forever.

Well, worry no more: With SculpSure, you can say goodbye to that pesky abdominal fat and start feeling better about your body, without going under the knife.

What is SculpSure?

SculpSure is a non-invasive body contouring procedure, specifically designed to target the fat that collects around your midsection. Your belly is often one of the first places you gain weight, and even when you’ve lost weight, it’s one of the toughest spots to slim down. SculpSure gives you the extra help you need to reduce your muffin top and start looking and feeling your best, even in form-fitting clothes!

How does SculpSure work?

The power of SculpSure is in laser light. The first FDA-approved laser treatment for abdominal fat, the SculpSure laser uses a selective wavelength to target your fat cells without having any impact on the surface of your skin. Heat from the laser light penetrates deep into your abdominal tissue, breaking down fat cells. Over time, your body flushes the damaged cells away through your lymphatic system – and once they’re gone, they’re gone for good.

What can I expect during SculpSure treatment?

Most patients report SculpSure treatment as being quite comfortable. While each experience is customized for an individual’s body, in general, sessions last about 25 minutes. While the laser works its magic, you’ll feel alternating cooling and warming sensations. And because SculpSure is non-invasive, there’s no associated prep work or downtime. You can even get your treatment done on your lunch hour!

How soon will I see results?

Every patient is different, but most people who are treated with SculpSure begin to see results as soon as six weeks from the initial session. By the time you hit the twelve-week mark, you should notice a significant reduction in the amount of fat you’re carrying around your waist. You’ll see a slimmer shape in the front and sides of your abs, and your clothes will fit better, too. The best part is, once those fat cells are gone, they won’t regenerate. So, as long as you maintain your weight, you’ll be able to say goodbye to that stubborn spare tire forever.

Is SculpSure right for me?

Only a doctor can tell if SculpSure is the right solution for you. It’s important to remember that SculpSure isn’t a replacement for diet and exercise. Generally, SculpSure is ideal for people who are in good physical condition, but who continue to struggle with problem areas in and around their abs. If you have a healthy diet and you’re engaged in an effective, regular workout regimen, you might be a good candidate.

Get Ready for Summer in San Diego with Laser Hair Removal

One of the many reasons San Diego is such a popular tourist destination is that summer isn’t limited to a single season—bikini weather starts around April and can last clear into November. While an extended beach season is great for lucky locals, it also means you need to get your body beach ready much earlier than residents of cooler climates. And in addition to losing those pesky few pounds and getting a nice base tan, you also need to consider hair removal.

Shaving and waxing, the traditional modes of hair removal, are great for short-term results but they also cause unsightly razor burn and ingrown hairs. Plus, waxing can be incredibly painful, especially in sensitive areas like the bikini line.

If you’re tired of the pain, discomfort, and hassle of keeping up with shaving and waxing, it’s time to think about long-lasting laser hair removal.

How laser hair removal works

During a laser hair removal procedure, the laser produces a large beam of concentrated light that’s absorbed by the pigment in your hair follicles. The laser pulses for a fraction of a second, heating up the hair, damaging the hair shaft and bulb, and impeding its ability to regrow. Some lasers, such as the top-of-the-line LightSheer DUET, have a large spot size that can treat numerous hair follicles at once, resulting in a faster and more comfortable treatment.

What you can expect during treatment

Unlike waxing, laser hair removal isn’t painful. Patients describe the sensation produced by the laser pulses as warm pinpricks. Any mild discomfort can be treated with cold compresses or topical cream if needed. The duration of the procedure depends on the size of the area being treated. The upper lip, for example, can take just a few minutes while both legs can take up to a half hour.

What you can expect after treatment

After your first session, you might notice some mild pinkness in the treatment area for a few hours, but that’s an indication the hair follicles have responded to the treatment. And although you might notice some immediate reduction of hair in the treated area, the majority of the laser-treated hair will fall out within a month. Due to the growth cycles of hair, you’ll experience some new growth, but that will lessen after each treatment as the hair becomes finer and more sparse. Most people need about five to seven treatments to remove all hair in the area.

How laser hair removal saves you money in the long run

Permanent hair removal makes economic sense, considering how expensive razors and waxing treatments are. The cost of disposable razors alone can add up to thousands of dollars over the course of your shaving life, plus tens of thousands more for waxing treatments every 4 to 6 weeks. Add in all the valuable time spent shaving and in the waxing salon, and a few laser hair removal treatments makes much more economic sense.

Why you should start laser hair removal now

You’ll need multiple laser hair removal treatments spaced out between 4-6 weeks to achieve maximum results, and sun exposure to the treated areas should be avoided until the treatment cycle is done. That’s why it’s best to start treatment now, when it’s still pants-and-sweater season and the beach is cold and gray.

Liposuction Works on These 10 Parts of Your Body

A balanced diet and regular exercise are the hallmarks of a healthy weight loss regimen, but sometimes even substantial weight loss isn’t enough to give you the sculpted body of your dreams. That’s why liposuction is the second most common cosmetic procedure in the world. It removes those pesky fat deposits that no diet program can melt away. Liposuction can work wonders on these 10 parts of your body:

1. Abdomen

There are several different kinds of body fat, but the type that’s most resistant to diet and exercise is subcutaneous fat, which can be found beneath the skin and on top of the abdominal muscle wall. Liposuction will remove pockets of subcutaneous fat and contour your middle, improving your overall shape. And while abdomen liposuction is popular for both men and women, female patients tend to have softer and less fibrous fat than men, making the procedure easier to perform on women.

2. Back

Liposuction is a great solution for getting rid of unwanted back fat, which can be categorized into a few different areas:

  • Female flanks, or the fat that bulges below the bra strap

  • The upper-outer back near the armpit

  • Waist fat above the hips

  • Lower back fat just above the tailbone

  • The unfortunately named “buffalo hump,” or fat on the upper back near the neck

Liposuction on the back is more common among female patients than male, and it can produce dramatic improvements to a woman’s figure.

3. Buttocks

The buttocks are one of the only areas on the body where subcutaneous fat is welcome—in moderation, of course. Well-proportioned buttocks are not only aesthetically pleasing, but they also fit into clothing more comfortably. Liposuction on the buttocks requires an excellent grasp of symmetry, and surgeons typically use microcannulas (a smaller version of the hollow vacuum tube) in order to produce smooth, symmetric results.

4. Chest/Breast

The goal for liposuction in the male chest area is relatively simple: improving the patient’s physical appearance by removing unsightly “breasts.” But for women, breast liposuction can not only improve appearance, but also enhance the overall quality of life. Excessive breast fat limits athletic ability, causes pain and physical impairment in the back, neck and shoulders, and makes bra- and clothing-shopping extremely difficult. Breast reduction via liposuction also produces a moderate but gratifying breast lift, and it doesn’t leave surgical scars as with traditional breast surgery.

5. Male flanks

Affectionately known as love handles, male flanks are located just above the crest of the hipbone, where fat accumulation bulges over the belt line. The largest bulk is usually located toward the back of the flanks, making them appear to bulge even larger from behind. Liposuction can remove most of the volume from these flanks, allowing belted trousers to look much more flattering on the male figure.

6. Face and neck

While many people turn to facelifts to get rid of extra fat around the chin, cheeks, jowls, and neck, liposuction is a safe effective technique that results in a more natural appearance. For older women with excessively wrinkled skin on their face, liposuction combined with either laser resurfacing or a chemical peel will help achieve beautiful results.

7. Inner thighs/knees

Inner thigh liposuction significantly improves the silhouette of the leg and helps prevent thighs from rubbing against each other. Most women who opt for inner thigh liposuction have fat deposits that extend over the knee as well, so inner thighs and inner knees are often treated at the same time. Liposuction of the upper inner thigh is also a common procedure for male patients to improve their ability to participate in athletics.

8. Outer thighs

Thigh fat is another area, like the abdomen, that is notoriously immune to diet and exercise, and people are often discouraged from weight loss regimens when they cannot see visible improvement in their shape. Liposuction of the outer thighs not only results in shapelier legs, but it also makes shopping for clothes a breeze, especially for women with “two body syndrome”—the term used for those who need to buy different sized tops and bottoms due to extreme disproportion.

9. Hips

Women who opt for liposuction of the outer thighs typically require liposuction of the hips as well for optimal results. That’s because in many cases, liposuction that only treats the outer thigh, ignoring excessive fat in the hips, lower buttock, and upper back area of the thigh, results in a disproportionate and unflattering outcome.

10. Upper arms

Exercising your arms typically results in stronger muscles, but nearly zero fat reduction. Fortunately, liposuction of the arms consistently yields the highest level of patient satisfaction and happiness, allowing women to wear sleeveless blouses, dresses and swimsuits without self-consciousness. However, the goal for liposuction of the arms shouldn’t be maximum fat removal. Proportion is everything, and too-skinny arms won’t look good against a curvy body.

5 Cosmetic Procedures Worthy of Your Tax Return

The New Year means a chance to start fresh, whether that means improving your health, your career, or your appearance. It also means the start of tax filing season, and if you’re expecting a sizeable refund from the IRS this year, your imagination is probably swirling with all the various ways you can spend it. Here’s a suggestion: instead of frittering the money away over the course of a few mall trips or letting it dwindle on everyday expenses, why not spend it on something a little lavish that you totally deserve?

If you’ve been looking for a way to refresh your appearance, here are 5 cosmetic procedures worthy of your tax return:

1. Laser hair removal

Bikini season comes pretty early in San Diego, so why not prepare now and get rid of unwanted body or facial hair? Laser treatments like Light Sheer by Lumenis are a huge step forward in hair removal. They’re vastly more effective than creams, much longer lasting than shaving, and nearly pain-free compared to waxing and electrolysis. Due to the growth cycle of hair, multiple treatments are needed, but the time and financial investment will be worth it when you’re enjoying smooth, hairless skin all summer long.

2. Laser tattoo removal

Whether your New Year’s celebrations involved a regrettable trip to the tattoo parlor, or a mistake from your wild youth is still haunting your skin, you’re not alone—surveys show about half of all people with tattoos want them removed. Fortunately, laser tattoo removal is now a safe, comfortable procedure that can take as few as three treatments, depending on the size, depth, and ink color of your tattoo, and your skin tone. Just think, once that pesky ink is gone, you’ll be free to wear the on-trend, skin-baring clothes that you didn’t dare before because of your embarrassing ink.

3. Liposuction

Let’s say you actually stick to your “eat healthy and exercise” New Year’s resolution, but a few stubborn pockets of fat on your belly, thighs, back, or arms simply refuse to melt away. That’s where liposuction comes in, vacuuming out fat deposits below the skin to give your body the smooth curves you work so hard for. The procedure involves local or deep sedation depending on the area of the body, and while the recovery time is only a few days, the fabulous results will last as long as you maintain your body weight.

4. Skin resurfacing

Facials are wonderful, and more intensive skin procedures, like chemical peels and microdermabrasion, are fantastic for a quick, rejuvenating boost. But if you have extra downtime to spare and want the ultimate in smooth, glowing skin, check out Cortex Co2 skin resurfacing. Effective for fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, and pigment irregularities, this procedure produces dramatic results in just a week. And because the lasers involved stimulate your own collagen growth, you can expect even further improvements over the following months.

5. Breast augmentation

Maybe you’ve always been a little disappointed in the bra size nature gave you, or maybe you’ve watched your breast volume shrink after having a kid or two. Whatever your reasons for wanting a more voluptuous figure up top, there’s no reason to wait any longer with that IRS check in hand. Augmentation procedures have advanced significantly over the years, involving minimal scarring and improved recovery times, so you’ll be dropping jaws at the beach in just weeks.

Ready to treat yourself?

If you’re looking to spend your tax refund on some much-deserved self-improvement, look no further than San Diego Body Contouring. All cosmetic procedures are performed by Dr. Sarosy, who has performed thousands of successful procedures with a high rate of patient satisfaction for more than 17 years. He’ll answer all your questions and help you decide on the best procedure for your goals and budget, so give us a call to schedule your consultation today!

Thinking About Cosmetic Procedures for a New You This New Year?

You might notice a certain theme emerge directly following the holidays each year: At department stores, active wear goes on sale and radio and TV waves are filled with ads for gym memberships. Are you catching on? Yep, “New Year, New You.” But, not all good things are found in spandex or at the gym. There are other ways to refresh your appearance, and the New Year is a great time to check out the latest developments in cosmetic procedures. Here are some of the hottest body rejuvenation trends predicted for 2017, from head to toe:

Wrinkles banished from the outside in

Smooth, youthful skin never goes out of style, but many people are opting for quick and easy facial rejuvenation procedures instead of surgical solutions. Chemical peels, laser and light-based procedures (like FotoFacial), microdermabrasion, and Botox are expected to remain as popular as ever, and fillers like Restylane are also gaining favor as a way to eliminate fine lines and wrinkles and keep everyone guessing just how old you actually are.

Plump pouts and sweet cheeks

Fillers are great for reducing the appearance of wrinkles, but they are also a popular choice for people looking to replace facial volume lost to age. Rounded cheeks and plump lips are still on-trend thanks to a certain mega-famous reality show family, and 2017 promises the introduction of ultra-targeted fillers for specific areas of the face.

Perky, youthful breasts

Large, Playboy-style breasts have dwindled in popularity over the years, but according to a recent Plastic Surgery Statistics Report, breast augmentation procedures actually increased 31% between 2000 and 2015. Bigger breasts are still in demand, but preferences have shifted to perky, athletic-style breasts in a smaller, more “natural” size—the average size is now a C-D cup, compared to prevalent DD-E cups years ago. Surgeons have also seen an increase in requests for smaller nipples during the augmentation procedure.

Dramatic body contouring

Many people have a few pesky pouches of excess fat that won’t go away no matter how much they stick to their New Year’s health and fitness regimen, but just as every human body is unique, there’s not a one-size-fits-all procedure for body contouring. Liposuction and tummy tucks are still quite popular despite a variety of non-surgical procedures out there. Why? Because surgery offers more consistent and dramatic results—perfect if you want to banish those pesky pouches for good and make some jaws drop to boot.

Voluptuous posteriors

Turns out, Sir Mix-A-Lot was prophetic: big butts are more popular than ever. Brazilian Butt Lifts—which have been fashionable in South America for years—are becoming mainstream in the US. The procedure uses liposuction to remove fat from your abdomen, thigh or legs (bonus!) and redistribute it to the buttocks region for a full, rounded, contoured appearance that will look amazing in jeans, bikinis, and of course, your birthday suit.

Quick and painless varicose vein eradication

Varicose veins aren’t harmful, but they’re not exactly ideal for wearing dresses, skirts, shorts, and swimwear. If you’re one of the millions of Americans with spidery, thick veins showing through your skin, good news: there are several non-surgical, cost-effective, and painless treatments available that will have you in and out of the doctor’s office with little to no downtime. Some examples include: microinjection sclerotherapy, which uses a chemical solution to close the problem vein and make it disappear; and Photoderm, a state-of-the-art light therapy that helps improve the appearance of the skin’s surface.

Ready for a new you in 2017?

If you’re looking to start the year off right with a rejuvenated appearance, San Diego Body Contouring is here for you. Dr. Sarosy has performed thousands of procedures in San Diego over the course of almost 20 years, and he’ll help you decide which treatment is right for you. Botox Injections for Wrinkles and Excessive Sweating

If you suffer from hyperhidrosis – excessive sweating of the underarms, hands, or feet – the embarrassment of sweat-soaked clothing doesn’t end in winter when the temperature dips in San Diego.

It’s a year-round struggle, and getting it under control can be a long, frustrating road.

With a bathroom full of pills, deodorants, and prescription-strength antiperspirants, you probably feel like you’ve exhausted all of your options for controlling your excessive sweating. But what if we told you the answer to your problem may not be in your medicine cabinet at all, but in a Botox vial?

Though most people know Botox for its miraculous wrinkle-smoothing properties, the popular injectable has been used in a number of surprising applications since the 1980s. Now, Botox is FDA-approved for excessive armpit sweating, providing the millions of Americans who suffer from hyperhidrosis with an effective, long-lasting solution.

Here’s a quick look at how Botox injections can be used to treat wrinkles and excessive sweating.

Botox for wrinkles

Part of the reason facial wrinkles exist is because of repetitive muscle contractions that pull the skin into creases. While other facial injections fill or plump these creases, Botox sends a neuromodulator into the muscle group that prevents the muscle from being able to contract. When the injected muscles can no longer contract, it causes wrinkles to relax and soften.

Since 2002, Botox has been FDA-approved for treatment of moderate-to-severe frown lines between the eyebrows. However, it’s also commonly used to treat horizontal forehead creases, crow’s feet around the eyes, vertical lines on the upper lip, and downturned corners of the mouth. The treatment only takes a few minutes, and there’s no anesthesia required. Some patients experience mild redness and swelling at the injection site, but this usually subsides within a few hours.

It’s important to note that because Botox targets muscle, wrinkles caused by sun damage or gravity will not respond to the injections.

Botox for excessive sweating

Hyperhidrosis isn’t a life-threatening medical condition, but it can significantly impact a person’s quality of life. Most people who suffer from excessive sweating in the underarms, hands, or feet have been living with their condition since childhood, and don’t often realize their problem is treatable with Botox.

Just as Botox blocks the signals from your nerves to your muscles to eliminate facial wrinkles, Botox injected into the underarms disables the chemical messenger between your nerves and sweat glands. Without the chemical message, your glands cannot produce sweat.

Botox injections for excessive sweating are performed in a 15 to 30-minute outpatient session.

The effect of Botox injections is usually apparent within two to three days and lasts between six and eight months.

Could Botox be the solution you’ve been searching for?

At San Diego Body Contouring, our board certified cosmetic surgeons have performed thousands of Botox injections for the treatment of wrinkles and hyperhidrosis. Whether you’re unhappy with how the aging process has changed your appearance or you’re suffering from excessive sweating that’s affecting your quality of life, we’re here to help.

Is Weight Loss Possible With Liposuction, LipoSculpture, or SculpSure?

Imagine walking down the boardwalk at Mission Beach in your tiniest bikini. From the corner of your eye, you see strangers checking you out. Do you A.) Wrap yourself in a sarong and pull your hat down over your eyes, or B.) Smile because you know you look amazing, and you’re proud to show off your tight and toned body?If you chose option A, you’re not alone. Many people struggle with stubborn pockets of fat on their abdomens, thighs and arms that refuse to budge regardless of how much time they put in at the gym. However, option B is completely attainable with the added assistance of a liposuction body contouring procedure.

If you chose option A, you’re not alone. Many people struggle with stubborn pockets of fat on their abdomens, thighs and arms that refuse to budge regardless of how much time they put in at the gym. However, option B is completely attainable with the added assistance of a liposuction body contouring procedure. So, will liposuction help me lose weight?

So, will liposuction help me lose weight?

At San Diego Body Contouring, we often have patients who come to us asking how much weight they will lose after receiving liposuction. The truth is, liposuction is not about losing weight. Though weight loss is possible, the primary purpose of a liposuction procedure is to contour the body and eliminate fat from trouble areas that are resistant to diet and exercise.

In our practice, we offer many body-contouring procedures that can help you achieve your goal of a slim, toned physique – regardless of the number on the scale. Here’s a look at three of our most popular options:

Liposuction

With traditional liposuction, subcutaneous fat deposits are vacuumed from beneath the skin using a hollow, stainless steel tube. The size of the tube, also called a cannula, determines how long the liposuction procedure will take. Although using a smaller cannula will result in a lengthier procedure, we use this method to keep the skin as smooth as possible. The different methods of liposuction include:

Tumescent Liposuction

  • Performed under local anesthesia

  • Limited need for narcotic pain medication after surgery

Modified Tumescent Liposuction

  • Local anesthesia plus general anesthesia or heavy IV sedation

  • Heavy IV sedation is performed by anesthesiologist

Vaser Liposuction

  • Uses ultrasound to help reshape the body

  • Melts the fat to make it easier to remove

  • Tightens loose skin in treatment areas

At your consultation, Dr. Sarosy will be able to determine the appropriate method of liposuction for your desired results.

LipoSculpture

At San Diego Body Contouring, LipoSculpture isn’t just a cosmetic procedure – it’s an art. This type of liposuction leverages fat you naturally have to create the illusion of a defined look and to expose chiseled musculature. The treatment is performed by suctioning fat through very thin tubes and leaving small sections behind to produce the specific look you’re aiming for.

LipoSculpture is ideal for those who are athletic and close to their goal weight, but who’s newly toned muscles are buried beneath stubborn clusters of fat that don’t respond to diet or exercise. Patients often lose five to ten pounds with LipoSculpture, but the emphasis is more about defining muscles, not eliminating bulk.

SculpSure

What if we told you we could contour your body and blast fat cells without surgery and in just 25 minutes? With SculpSure, we can. SculpSure is a new, state-of-the-art body contouring system that uses light energy to reduce fat in hard-to-lose areas like the stomach, thighs, and love handles. Unlike liposuction and LipoSculpture, SculpSure is non-invasive and requires no anesthesia. Most patients report a tingling sensation as the system works to destroy up to 24 percent of treated fat cells in under a half hour.

After a SculpSure treatment, you will have fewer fat cells, but you won’t necessarily lose weight. The fat cells that are destroyed will never return – even without diet and exercise. However, the size of the remaining cells will change with weight gain and loss. For this reason, a healthy diet and workout regimen are recommended for the best results.

Blast fat and achieve the body you’ve always dreamed of!

In San Diego, beach season lasts all year long. Isn’t it time you felt confident wearing your favorite bikini? If you’re frustrated by stubborn fat pockets on your abdomen, hips or arms and haven’t seen improvement with diet or exercise, you may be a perfect candidate for liposuction, LipoSculpture, or SculpSure.

At San Diego Body Contouring, we’re passionate about helping our patients achieve the physique they’ve always wanted. A board certified cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Sarosy has spent 17 years perfecting his technique and is as dedicated to each patient’s safety as he is his or her results. If you’re ready to transform your body composition and melt inches from your stubborn trouble zones, contact us to set up your consultation. Your ideal body is just a phone call away.

Mommy Makeover Preparation And Recovery Time

As a mother, you’ve made a lot of sacrifices to bring your children into this world. Pregnancy, childbirth, and breastfeeding certainly weren’t easy – especially on your physique. Unfortunately, those sacrifices left their marks all over your body. You can see them in your sagging breasts, your droopy abs, and that muffin-top that sprung out of nowhere and won’t go away.

Now, it’s time to reclaim your pre-baby body, and there’s no better way to do it than with a Mommy Makeover from San Diego Body Contouring.

The Mommy Makeover advantage

A typical Mommy Makeover consists of a tummy tuck, breast augmentation, and liposuction, but the specific procedures performed can vary depending on your individual needs and aesthetic goals. There are notable benefits to combining these procedures into one surgery – namely, you can significantly cut down on your preparation and recovery time. And to have your best possible Mommy Makeover experience, you’ll want to know how to properly prepare and what to expect while you’re recovering.

Getting ready for your surgery

Undergoing a Mommy Makeover will place a heavy burden on your body in terms of healing, so the best thing you can do is to get your body in the best possible shape you can beforehand. This includes maintaining a healthy, well-balanced diet and staying well hydrated. It’s also important to stop smoking at least six weeks prior to your surgery, and to limit alcohol intake to two or three drinks per week. In addition, exercise is crucial to your physical fitness, so make sure you’re already engaged in a regular workout routine for a minimum of thirty minutes a day.

It’s extremely important to establish a support system prior to your Mommy Makeover. For the first couple of weeks after your surgery, you’ll be unable to lift heavy objects, drive, or do other strenuous activities like cleaning the house. So rally your friends and family members; ask them to be available to lend a hand during your recovery period, and to help you get your house in order before your procedures are performed.

During your Mommy Makeover consultation, Dr. Sarosy will review specific preoperative instructions with you, and answer any questions you may have.

Navigating the recovery process

The recovery process is different for everyone, and Dr. Sarosy will give you detailed instructions on how to care for your wounds in the days following your procedure. For most patients, the first week after surgery is the most difficult. You can expect some degree of pain and discomfort, but rest assured that our office will provide you with a prescription for medication to help keep you as comfortable as possible. At this stage, it’s important to get as much rest as possible so your body can concentrate on its number one job: healing. Call on your support system to take care of you, your house, and your children during this crucial, sensitive time.

After a week, you should start feeling like yourself again – comfortably walking around your house, with any drainage tubes removed – but you still won’t be able to drive or do any heavy lifting. Swelling will last for several weeks, and during this time you will likely be wearing supportive garments, such as an abdominal binder or a surgical bra, to help minimize it. You can expect a full recovery in about six weeks, and by the end of three months, you’ll be able to share your flawless results with the world.
