Meet Dr. Charles Sarosy, Leading San Diego Cosmetic Surgeon
Dr. Charles Sarosy, a board-certified surgeon, has been a cornerstone of San Diego Cosmetic Surgery at our center for the past seventeen years. His membership in the American Society of Cosmetic Breast Surgery and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, combined with thousands of successful body contouring procedures, marks him as a top surgeon in Southern California.
His goals are patient safety and meeting each patient’s specific needs and expectations. This is facilitated through in-depth consultation with the Doctor and his Assistant at our plastic surgery body contouring center.
Dr. Sarosy utilizes state-of-the-art surgical techniques for body contouring. He attends several cosmetic seminars a year to stay current on the newest and innovative treatments. His goals are to achieve a naturally-appearing, highly aesthetic result.
Dr. Sarosy was raised in New York and completed his surgical training in San Diego. He graduated third in college and second in his medical class. He received numerous awards in medical school including an award for most outstanding performance in surgery. He was president of AOA, a prestigious medical school honor society.
Over the past seventeen years, Dr. Sarosy has performed over 7,000 cosmetic procedures. He has trained many physicians in the art of Liposculpture and was a member of the Louisiana University Medical Center prior to relocating back to San Diego.

M. Sadi Erfani, MD
M. Sadi Erfani, MD, brings over 4,000 facial aesthetic and body contouring surgeries to our San Diego Cosmetic Surgery Center. His approachable personality and extensive experience in challenging plastic and reconstructive surgeries make him a trusted choice for body contouring needs.
Dr. Erfani has performed some of the most technically challenging procedures in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, including Microvascular Free Tissue Transfer, Microvascular Hand/Limb Replantation, Cancer and Burn Reconstruction, Aesthetic Facial/Full Body Contouring and Reconstruction.
In addition to his in-depth training and experience as a plastic surgeon specializing in body contouring, Dr. Erfani has conducted research in several of the country’s most distinguished laboratories. He has written articles on palatal clefting which have been printed in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the flagship peer-reviewed journal of Plastic Surgery. He has also had the opportunity to travel to El Salvador to perform corrective surgery for underprivileged children and adults with cleft lip/palate, nasal, and other facial deformities. Dr. Erfani often reflects on that trip as one of his most gratifying professional experiences; he looks forward to participating in many more charitable endeavors locally and abroad.

CARL A. POWELL, DO, FACS, FAACS, FAAARM
Cosmetic, General and Hair Restoration Surgeon
Dr. Powell is a Board Certified Surgeon specializing in Cosmetic Surgery at our plastic surgery body contouring center. Dr. Powell is a seasoned specialist with over 6000 surgical procedures performed over a twenty-five-year career. As a Past President of the California Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, he was recognized by his fellow cosmetic surgeons for his outstanding skills and contributions to the specialty of body contouring and other cosmetic procedures.
Dr. Powell grew up in California, attended undergraduate school at the United States Naval Academy and Boston University, graduate school at University of West Florida and San Diego State University, medical school at Western University of Health Sciences (College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific), Internship at Portsmouth Regional Medical Center, Residency training at University of California, Davis/University of California, San Francisco and sub-specialty training at Baylor University. Dr. Powell received the “Most Outstanding Student” award graduating in the top ten percent of his medical school class and was recognized in his residency program for his outstanding achievements.
Dr. Powell is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (ACS), the American College of Cosmetic Surgeons (AACS), the American Academy of Liposuction Surgeons, the American Society of Cosmetic Breast Surgeons and the American College of Anti-aging and Regenerative Medicine. He is a member of the California Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery, and the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery. Dr. Powell is well known and respected not only in California, but also all over the country for his expertise as a Cosmetic Surgeon.
Dr. Powell served as the program chair for the CACS Annual Cosmetic Surgery Educational Meeting in 2012, He lectures and teaches at Cosmetic Surgery educational meetings and workshops, trains Cosmetic Surgeons on the newest Cosmetic Surgery techniques and procedures and is requested by his cosmetic surgery colleagues to perform cosmetic surgery on themselves and their family members. He serves as an Oral Examiner for the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery testing aspiring Cosmetic Surgeons for their Board Certification and he serves as a Surveyor for the Institute for Quality Medicine (IMQ) surveying office based operating rooms for accreditation to perform Conscious Sedation and General Anesthesia surgical cases in an office setting. Additionally, he serves as a Delegate to the California Medical Association House of Delegates and as a Board of Director for the San Diego Chapter of the California Medical Association. Dr. Powell has published articles on Cosmetic Surgery procedures and treatments in several well-respected publications.

Vish Banthia, MD FACS
Vish Banthia, MD FACS, is double board certified in otolaryngology, head and neck surgery, and facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. He brings his extensive expertise to our plastic surgery body contouring center. His interests lie in primary and revision rhinoplasty and minimally invasive-to-comprehensive facial rejuvenation.
He holds several accomplishments in the medical field for his research and other educational and medical device contributions in various areas including obstructive sleep apnea, snoring, and skin care rejuvenation.
Dr Vish serves as Founder of ZendyHealth, an innovative digital health platform connecting patients to high quality medical, cosmetic, and dental providers. He has been featured as an expert in skin and cosmetic care in a variety of media outlets including InStyle, Gentry Magazine, Refinery29, Beauty World News, High Fashion Magazine, and others. He is a staunch supporter and promoter of simple, do-it-yourself health, weight loss, and cosmetic tips and tricks so that one can feel their very best.
His lectures have taken him worldwide to share his expertise in facial and cosmetic surgery, and his list of publications is extensive. Dr. Banthia has lectured on his techniques in minimally invasive surgery and laser surgery to plastic surgeons, facial plastic surgeons and dermatologists throughout the country.
Dr. Vish was selected to be a trainer for Lifestyle Lift™ surgeons, and he received a selective Humanitarian Travel Award sponsored by the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery to be part of a surgical team performing pro bono cleft lip/palate and microtia surgery in Honduras. While he was formerly in practice in the San Francisco Bay Area and in Los Angeles at the Cedars Sinai Medical Center, Dr Banthia was recognized as a “Top Doctor” and “Top Surgeon” in both regions.
Dr Vish has performed thousands of face and nasal procedures and his underlying principles include achieving a rejuvenated, refreshed, and natural look. For rhinoplasty in particular, Dr Banthia’s results yield a professional, natural appearance as opposed to an ‘over-operated’ or scooped appearance that often compromise nasal breathing and airflow.
