Dr. Robert A. Shumway, MD, FACS is a leader in Cosmetic Surgery and a Past- President of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.
He is a contributor and section editor for the American Journal of Cosmetic Surgery. He lectures world-wide at Cosmetic Surgery conferences and has written many articles and chapters for training textbooks.
Dr. Shumway is also well-known for the TUBA technique for saline implant breast augmentation. TUBA (Trans-umbilical Breast Augmentation) is a unique way of
inserting saline breast implants through the navel without scars on the breasts! Only a handful of surgeons in the country are skilled at this procedure, and Dr. Shumway was
the first surgeon to perform the TUBA in San Diego in 1998. He also performed the first TUBA in Europe in the summer of 2018. Dr. Shumway has thousands of happy TUBA He has thousands of happy breast implant patients since 1998.
