Silicone Implants – These implants are filled with silicone, which closely mimics the feel of a body’s fat tissue. Silicone implants tend to be slightly more expensive than saline implants.
Saline Implants – These implants are filled with a saline solution during the procedure. They tend to be slightly “harder” or have a baggy feeling; however depending on patient starting breast tissue they may not even notice the difference. These are still an excellent choice.
However as popular as breast augmentations are, there are still risks and complications that can be distressing just like any other surgical procedure. Some of the possible risks or complications can be infections, capsule contracture, bleeding, asymmetry, problems with mammograms, calcification, and deflation. Moderate. On a pain scale of 1-10 it’s 7-8 but subsides within 48 hours significantly down to 2-3. - How long is the recovery period?
Functional recovery in 5-7 days. Full recovery in 4-6 weeks. - How long before I can work out?
2 weeks you can do mild cardio with no chest muscle involvement, in 4 weeks you can increase to moderate cardio however you still can’t do any exercises that involve your chest muscle. After 6-8 weeks you should be able to resume exercises that involve your chest muscle.
