Why Summer is the Best Time for Botox Treatments

If you’re like most people, you work hard all year to look your best for summer. Sometimes this means putting in extra hours at the gym or adjusting your dietary habits. Other times, it means scheduling your liposuction or breast augmentation so you’re healed up and ready to reveal the new you by beach season. Luckily, Botox is one method of beautification that does not require months of preparation. This makes Botox a perfect cosmetic procedure for summer, and vice versa. Take a look below at more reasons why summer is the best time for Botox treatments.

Botox helps prevent summer squint lines

Sunlight and water are the two most important elements of summer anywhere. Unfortunately, the combination of sunlight and water results in a whole lot of squinting. And squinting, as you probably know, contributes to both the severity and onset of crow’s feet, those fine lines that radiate from the corners of your eyes. Botox eliminates those crow’s feet by disabling the muscles that cause them, thereby preventing the formation of news wrinkles as well. Don’t forget to wear your sunglasses!

Botox is minimally invasive and requires no downtime

If you’re like most of us, your summer calendar is packed full of more fun plans than any other time of year. Summer barbecues, summer vacations, summer road trips. Scheduling beauty treatments that require downtime is best left to other seasons. Because Botox treatments are minimally invasive and require zero downtime, they won’t slow you down. You can go from your morning walk on the beach to your Botox treatment and then straight to a lunch date afterward. It’s best to avoid strenuous exercise and consumption of large amounts of alcohol directly after your Botox treatment, but otherwise, you can keep your summer moving right along.

Botox treatments do not require you to hide from the sun

Some anti-aging cosmetic procedures, such as microdermabrasion and chemical peels, require that you avoid the sun for as long as several weeks following treatment. This can be a huge bummer when it’s summer and all the best events take place outside under the sun. Botox is a great way to get rid of wrinkles without the need to hide from the sun for any significant length of time. While it’s a good idea to avoid excessive sun or heat exposure for a couple of days after your treatment, this recommendation is significantly less than the requirement for skin-resurfacing treatments. And, of course, always wear sunscreen, whether you’re treated with Botox or not.

Botox will keep you looking youthful all summer long

Whether your summer plans include road trips, beach bonfires, or poolside cocktails, we understand that you want to look your best. Botox is a wonderful treatment option that allows you to fight those pesky wrinkles without sacrificing your vacation days or clearing your calendar. And though you may have to wait up to two weeks to see the peak results, once you do, they’ll keep you looking refreshed, young, and beautiful all summer long.
